    Your phone, computer, and current cloud account each report their own totals. Add them up and allow room for another year of photos.

    Check how sharing works

    Some family plans share one pool of space; Microsoft 365 Family gives each person their own 1 TB. Count people, not devices.

    Keep the original until the copy checks out

    Photo transfers between Google and Apple copy your library rather than moving it. Leave the original in place until you have looked through the copy.
