How we check prices and make comparisons.
You should be able to tell where a number came from, when it was checked, and what it does—or does not—prove.
We use primary sources for prices and limits
Plan prices, audience limits, sending allowances, and percentage fees come from provider pricing pages, help documentation, or terms. Pages show when those sources were checked so you can judge how current the numbers are.
We separate documented facts from our conclusion
A provider can document a price or feature. Whether that feature is worth paying for depends on your list, workflow, and business model. Comparisons explain that reasoning instead of presenting a universal winner.
We do not invent hands-on experience
We do not call a page a review or claim to have tested deliverability, support, an editor, or a migration unless we completed and documented that test. Current comparisons are based on public plan information and say what still needs to be tested.
We correct material errors
When a checked price or limit changes, we update the source date and every affected page. If an error could have changed a reader’s decision, the corrected page should state what changed.

Email hello@widernotes.com with the page address, the statement you believe is wrong, and a source we can check. We will review the evidence and correct material errors.

Affiliate availability does not change calculator formulas, provider order, or which relevant alternatives appear. Affiliate links are labeled where they are used.
